After all the hard work of everyone involved in the orchard over the previous ten months, it was time to officially bring the second phase of development to a close. To do this we invited Nottinghamshire County Council’s “Supporting Local Communities” Chair, Cllr John Cottee, to officially open the path and hardstanding area, and St Augustine’s & St Barnabas’ vicar, Rev. Dr. Caroline Phillips to bless the outdoor classroom for use by the community.
Speeches were made, ribbons cut, blessings were spoken, drinks and cake consumed and friendly conversations ensued as the event unfolded, and we are thankful to all who came and showed their support for this event.
We’re also thankful to Darkside Tattoo Supplies, who are generously sponsoring the flyers for the orchard’s community events.
